Overseeing a staff of 10 employees, designed and implemented an entirely new brand strategy for this Web design and technology firm. Oversaw redesign of logo, color palette, created a new tag line, completely overhauled website and all print/multimedia collateral. Revamped the creative process, and worked closely with designers to deliver online solutions for American Airlines, TexasFord, EDS, Cannon Lewis, Movie Tavern, Fontainebleau, TNB and Hotels.com, to name a few. Hired staff and freelancers, conducted reviews, selected vendors, and developed internal marketing and communications. As member of executive team, gave weekly updates to principals and directors.

Associate Creative Director, Copy
Led strategic and conceptual development of creative for various print, online, broadcast, outdoor, direct mail and other channels for the eighth largest newspaper in America. Worked closely with talented designers in leading cross-channel initiatives, provided copy and voice talent for radio ads, and created trademarked tag lines products, features and events. Led creative development on co-branding campaigns with Yahoo, Chevy, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and other high-profile partners. Successfully launched Quick, a condensed newspaper aimed at adults 18-35. My work for TDMN and Quick won international awards for newspaper marketing and creative (INMA and ACME Awards, 2004-2006). My trademarked tag line for Quick – Grab it. Read it. Go. – is seen in print and outdoors virtually everywhere in the Dallas Metroplex, as well as on radio and online. Also produced ads for DallasNews.com, QuickDFW.com, SportsSay.com and CowboysPlus.com, as well as viral marketing initiatives and banner ads on third-party sites.

Directed this nutrition company's print publications and online marketing. Managed three websites, two intranets and several email marketing programs (CRM, acquisition, retention, etc.). Online sales grew from 48% to 69% just six months after creating Web department, roughly $40 million in sales (2002 figures). Led creative brainstorms, developed graphic standards for print and online, instilled sense of branding consistency across product design and all communications. Gave live presentations to crowds of up to 8,000.

Began my stint at this full-service agency as copywriter, and quickly took on roles as creative director, business development guy, media buyer, and the coveted position of Guy-Who-Runs-The-Office-While-The-Boss-Played-Golf-Every-Day (yes, it is possible to golf 365 days a year in Canada). Developed online, print, broadcast and outdoor creative for clients such as Zeneca, Canadian Cancer Society, Calgary Children's Hospital, Calgary Stampede, Husky Oil and Shane Homes.
